I've actually done something, yay.

OK, its been basically forever since I did anything on the car. Partly due to weather, partly due to me having zero motivation or drive.

But, I’m back on it now for at least the next few weeks. I started to strip down the suspension components after soaking them in WD40 for about a month. This did virtually nothing, and I spent most of Sunday swearing at the car and wanting to set it on fire.

Firstly I found some rust on my would-be rust free shell. I poked about with a hammer and made a nice hole that I’ll have to get some rust converter stuff on and test out my fibre glassing skills. Not the best start…

I did manage to wrestle the rear wishbone assembly off after some time though. One of the bolts is seized (I’ll take it to a shop to get it pressed out), I cant get the hub nut off and I broke one of the alignment bolts; but its off.

This is progress.

TorSen Refirbishment

So I picked myself up a TorSen from Nutz for a good price from a bloke in Forest Gate.
It’s a low miler, all in good working order, but its rusty and tatty looking... so while I don’t need it on the car, I may as well give it a refresh.
First thing was the half shafts, as this is a Type 1 TorSen; they are split, so I knocked the caps out of the TorSen. They were minging.

Got myself some lovely de-oxidising solution, and gave it a bash after hearing some good reviews on it. And I have to say, it is awesome stuff.

Have a look at these:

Magic eh?

I’ll be doing the whole diff housing in this stuff, and it will basically be like new. Just a cheeky lick of hammerite and it’ll be fine. So keep your eyes open.

Panasports

Small update.

Got the Panasport Pro Rallys on so i can get the daisys off and let Harry have them. Also, they were put on by He-Man as i bent a 3 ft breaker bar trying to get them off...

it desperately needs lowering now there are some wider wheels on it...

Introduction...

Taken a while to get this blog going, I’ve had the car a few months but not much has been going on.

Here’s the Eunos:

Nothing great, but it is a good base. Tatty paint, VERY leaky roof, fairly hacked interior. But the shell itself is in cracking condition, and that’s all I care about tbh.it was cheap and it runs.

The goal of this build is to get something that I can enjoy tinkering with, and end up getting involved in many track days. I’ve missed that since having my old Glanza in pieces in the garage, there’s nothing quite like building something for yourself. I’ve pined for something I can play with, without worrying about epic bills if stuff goes wrong...

Many updates to come.
